About this Hymn
Chris Tomlin's song started as a simple expression of faith, and at first it felt to him that it was not enough. "I was apologizing to God, 'That's so simple, but those are the only words I know right now. Our English language only goes so far in saying how great you are.'" Nevertheless, God has blessed this basic, Trinitarian declaration of faith, with echoes of Psalm 104, through which millions of worshipers have given voice to their praise.
