About this Hymn
This new setting is a fresh way to sing and internalize Psalm 34. Almost a call-and-response, it is inspired by gospel music. Beginning with "Oh, taste and see the Lord is good," it runs through themes of struggle, family, and renewal of our days.

Verse 1
Oh, taste and see the Lord is good, the Lord is good. Our daily bread, his mercies new; the Lord is good. All earthly rivers will run dry, yet there is One who satisfies. My full salvation he provides,

Chorus
the Lord is good. The Lord is good, the Lord is good, oh, taste and see, oh, come and feast; the Lord is good.

Verse 2
I sought the Lord, he answered me; the Lord is good. And from my fears he set me free; the Lord is good. Through songs of joy and tears of pain, through ev'ry season unexplained, I know this certain truth remains:

And to our children we will say, the Lord is good. Walk in the wisdom of his ways; the Lord is good. What peace his word alone can give, for all who trust in him will live. How richly blessed our portion is:
